'Tang Hecate' limited print

Hecate, a Greek goddess of the underworld, is often depicted with three bodies. She is associated with boundaries, especially between the realm of the living and those beyond it. Here she's depicted in Tang styling, from head jewelry to makeup designs on the forehead, called huadian 花鈿, and shapes of lipstick. The Tang dynasty in China is considered a golden era where women experimented with bold fashions.
